Is Your Teen Living Their Best Life?

From what I can tell, there isn’t anything much more special than seeing your kid take ownership of their life, pouring themselves into passions fueled by their “why.” Watching teens create a resilient mind and pursue what lights them up is one of the greatest joys of my work.

When they are younger seeing those first steps, their excitement over learning to ride a bike, or watching them in the third-grade play, these moments where they take on new challenges and dream big fill parents with pride and hope for the future.

But as kids become teenagers, it can be harder to spark that same drive. Gone are the days when signing them up for sports, clubs, or family activities is all it takes to engage them. Now, they’re pushing to decide what they’ll prioritize and how they’ll fill their lives.

As my mom always said, “I don’t want to trust the outcome of your life to a 16-year-old boy.” That 16-year-old was me 😅 and although I wanted a full and meaningful life, I struggled to create it on my own. I needed something more to help me find direction, and that’s why I get to be now the person I wish I once had.

One of my favorite principles I share with kids and adults is the “Zone of Proximal Development” 🤩

It reminds us that there’s a limit to how far we can go alone, but with the right support, we can reach heights that otherwise would be out of reach. For teenagers especially, having support outside the family can make a massive difference in their lives (that’s including Turner’s research showing the increase in resiliency among teenagers when they have support from someone outside the family). During these formative years, they’re building the mindset, values, and resilience they’ll carry into adulthood. The right support now acts like compound interest, creating a lifetime pursuit of a growth mindset, positive value system, and a sense of purpose.

So, let me ask you two questions:

1- Is your teen truly living their best life, with a safe place to open up, dream big, and discover their potential?

2 – If nothing changed, are you confident your teen has the support they need to build resilience, purpose, and strong values for a successful future?

This is where we come in 🤗 For the past four and a half years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside teens as a confidence and vision coach, witnessing how intentional guidance can transform lives. As the number of kids needing support grew I knew I wanted to help them still get the best support, so eight months ago, I brought on Noah—an amazing mentor and certified life coach with over eight years of experience connecting and inspiring middle and high school students. While I currently have a waitlist, Noah will be adding six new coaching spots, and we both hope to add more down the road!

Our model keep students showing up for years because the relationships we build go beyond advice; they’re rooted in trust, encouragement, and a shared journey. We work with them to develop purpose, resilience, and ownership over their lives—qualities that last far beyond the teenage years and pay dividends for a lifetime.

If you’re interested in exploring coaching, let’s chat! Whether you want to explore it now or you just want to learn more for the future, we can talk about what support might be the best fit for your teen on a free discovery call.

Even the best athletes still have personal coaches; because we can go further with someone alongside us. Research shows that it’s undeniable that teens benefit from outside support, so even if it’s not with us, I encourage you to find the right fit for them as they define who they will be.
