Interrupting can be a common problem with children.
This is a story from a mom talking on the phone in the car whose children kept interrupting. She said, “I listen to little boys & girls who don’t interrupt their mommies on the phone.” Of course, they kept interrupting. She pulled over, got out of the car and kept a watchful eye on them while she finished her conversation. She got back in the car and heard “mommy, mommy, mommy.”
She replied empathetically, “This is so sad. I only listen to little boys and girls who don’t interrupt their mommies.” She took a breath, dead silence. She drove all the way home in silence and the kids even fell asleep in the car!
